What is a Spherolift massage
Spherolift is a device-assisted massage in which a handpiece with rotating spheres moves over the skin. The spheres sit on the working surface of a cylindrical roller; as it turns they press and release the tissue in a steady rhythm, which is mechanical micro-vibration. The treatment is non-invasive: no needles, no suction, no heat and no damage to the skin.
It is applied to different zones of the body and face with the matching handpiece. At Abi Beauty we use it as part of aesthetic skin care, for a feeling of lightness in the legs and as a massage for the soft tissue. People most often ask for it for visible cellulite, fluid retention and loose skin on the thighs, buttocks and abdomen, and as a gentle facial massage.
Spherolift is a mechanical anti-cellulite massage, not a medical treatment. We do not promise cellulite removal, fat breakdown or a therapeutic effect. Our manual massages, including the classic anti-cellulite massage, are described on the massages in Sofia page.
How it works
As the handpiece moves, each sphere rolls over the skin, presses the tissue beneath it and releases it a moment later. Dozens of spheres do this at the same time, at a frequency set by the rotation speed. The result is mechanical micro-vibration that:
- stimulates the receptors in the skin and feels like a deep, firm massage;
- improves local circulation and warms the zone for a while;
- supports drainage of retained fluid, which is why legs feel lighter;
- mobilises the soft tissue without pulling it, unlike suction-based massages.
The intensity is set for the zone and for your sensitivity: firmer pressure on the body, light and superficial on the face.
Large and small handpiece
The device works with two handpieces. Both are cylindrical rollers with spheres on the working surface; they differ in size, weight and pressure.
Large handpiece
For: full legs, buttocks, abdomen, hips and love handles, arms.
- Larger working surface, covers a whole thigh or the abdomen in a few passes.
- Firmer pressure for the soft tissue of the body.
- The full body is treated in 60 minutes.
Small handpiece
For: full face and double chin.
- Lighter, with smaller spheres, follows the contour of the face and neck.
- Gentle, superficial pressure without stretching the skin.
- Full face in 30 minutes, the area under the chin in 20.
Six benefits of the Spherolift massage
Mechanical soft-tissue massage
The spheres work on the skin and the tissue beneath it with an even, rhythmic pressure that hands can hardly keep up for an hour.
Care for the look of the skin
Better local circulation and drainage, so the skin on the thighs and buttocks looks smoother and fresher after a course.
A feeling of lightness
The most common comment after a leg session: light, rested legs, especially after long hours standing or sitting.
Focused zone treatment
Pick only the zone that bothers you: abdomen, hips and love handles, buttocks or arms, 20 to 30 minutes each.
Relaxation and comfort
The treatment does not hurt, there are no needles and no heat. Most clients describe it as a firm, pleasant massage.
A dedicated facial treatment
The small handpiece is for the face and double chin: a gentle massage for a fresher look and a clearer contour.
Zones and duration
These are the zones and times we work with. Zone prices are in the prices section: online from €31 for the double chin to €75 for the full body.

How the session goes
- 01
Consultation and zone choice
The therapist checks the zone, asks about health conditions and recent treatments and chooses the handpiece and intensity.
- 02
Preparation
You lie down comfortably, the skin is cleansed and, if needed, a light product is applied so the spheres glide better.
- 03
Treatment with the handpiece
The handpiece moves over the zone in even strokes along the lymphatic flow. It feels like a firm massage, 20 to 60 minutes.
- 04
Finish and advice
The skin is cleansed, you get instructions for the day and a recommended interval until the next session.
Before and after the session
Before
- Tell the therapist about health conditions and any medication you take.
- Mention recent surgery and aesthetic or injectable treatments.
- Do not come with inflamed, injured or sunburnt skin in the zone.
- Avoid a heavy meal before an abdomen session if it makes you uncomfortable.
After
- Drink water as usual; drainage works better with a normal fluid intake.
- Follow the therapist's individual advice on the interval between sessions.
- Go back to your usual activities as soon as you feel fine.
- Mild redness for a few hours and a post-workout feeling are normal.
Contraindications
We do not perform Spherolift in case of:
- suspected thrombosis or thrombophlebitis;
- acute infections and fever;
- active skin inflammation and open wounds in the zone;
- unexplained pain or swelling in the zone;
- painful varicose veins in the treated zone;
- pregnancy, above all for the abdomen.
With oncological conditions, recent surgery, fillers, botulinum toxin or other injectables in the zone an individual medical assessment is needed before booking. Menstruation is not a contraindication: if you have no pain the session can go ahead, though for the abdomen it is better to wait.
If you are not sure the treatment is right for you, book a consultation. The therapist assesses the zone in person and refers you to a doctor in case of doubt.
Spherolift, HIEMT or HIFU: which is for what
The three device treatments for the body at Abi Beauty work on different levels and are often combined.
| Treatment | What it works on | What people book it for | Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Spherolift | Skin and soft tissue, mechanical micro-vibration with spheres | Look of the skin with cellulite, fluid retention, light legs, facial massage | 20 to 60 min |
| HIEMT Pro Max | Muscle, electromagnetic stimulation with thousands of contractions | Muscle tone and sculpting of abdomen, buttocks, thighs | 30 min |
| HIFU lifting | Deep layers of the skin, focused ultrasound | Tightening and lifting of face, neck and body | 30 to 90 min |
Endosphere or Spherolift: what is the difference
Looking for "endosphere" in Sofia? Read how it relates to Spherolift
"Endosphere" (ендосфера) is the name under which the device massage with rotating spheres is most often searched for in Bulgaria. The word comes from the Italian trademark Endosphères Therapy of the maker of the original device. Spherolift at Abi Beauty is the same kind of treatment by principle: a cylindrical roller with spheres that creates mechanical micro-vibration in the soft tissue, without suction and without heat. We do not work with that brand's device and we do not use its name for our service.
What is the same: a handpiece with rotating spheres, large for the body and small for the face, a mechanical massage with no downtime, the same zones (legs, buttocks, abdomen, hips, arms, face) and similar durations of 20 to 60 minutes. What is different: the brand and model of the device, the price, and the fact that we offer the treatment at 6 clinics in Sofia, every day from 10:00 to 20:00, with online booking.
If you are comparing endosphere salons in Sofia by price, time and location (market prices and criteria are in the guide endosphere therapy in Sofia), compare them with Spherolift too: the same massage principle, zones from 20 minutes and a clinic in every district where we have one. Zone prices are in the table on this page: online from €31 to €75.
